Costalos is a board-certified orthodontist who grew up right here in Bay Ridge, and his team includes familiar faces who have been part of the practice since 2008. Together, we make every visit comfortable, personal, and easy, whether you live around the corner or travel from across New York.

Dr. Peter A. Costalos is board certified, a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and has been practicing orthodontics in Bay Ridge since 2003.
Dr. Costalos was born and raised in Bay Ridge and was an Honors Academy student at Fort Hamilton High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology, summa cum laude, from Pace University. He graduated magna cum laude from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He then completed his postgraduate studies in orthodontics at Columbia University.
Dr. Costalos is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association, and he is president emeritus of the Orthodontic Alumni Society of Columbia University.
Dr. Costalos lives in Bay Ridge with his wife and their three children. He enjoys spending free time with his family, exploring the Big Apple, and serving their church.

After receiving my bachelor's degree in psychology from the College of Staten Island, I made helping others my main priority in life, just as others have helped me for over twenty years. Working in Dr. Costalos’s practice since 2008 has allowed me to do just that and to build great relationships with our team and our patients.
