Though we’ve been on historic Doctor’s Row since the very beginning, we are a progressive practice in a warm, renovated office, and we strive to deliver the best care available today to every patient.
Our Story:
Your Bay Ridge Orthodontist Since 1946
The beginning. When World War II ended, Dr. Henry P. Levy returned home to Brooklyn and opened an orthodontic practice on Bay Ridge Parkway, along the stretch of limestone townhouses locals still call Doctor’s Row. His goal was simple: give Bay Ridge families specialist care close to home.
A true neighborhood practice. Dr. Levy was later joined by Dr. David G. Olsen, a Bay Ridge native who carried the practice forward with the same commitment to careful, personal care. In 2003, Dr. Peter A. Costalos, another Bay Ridge native and a Harvard and Columbia graduate, joined the practice, becoming the third generation of care for the community.
Tradition meets technology. Today, the practice blends that history with modern orthodontics: advanced orthodontic solutions, today’s technology, and treatment plans customized to each patient. The parlor floor of our landmark townhouse has been thoughtfully renovated to feel warm and welcoming while respecting the building’s history.
Families who keep coming back. It’s common for us to treat the children and grandchildren of patients who once sat in our chairs. That trust is something we never take for granted.

Dr. Henry P. Levy establishes the practice after WWII.
1966
Dr. David G. Olsen joins the practice.
2003
Dr. Peter A. Costalos joins the practice.

The practice undergoes full renovations.
Our Office: A Landmark Home
on Bay Ridge's Doctor's Row
We believe every detail counts. The parlor level of the landmark limestone townhouse that houses our practice has been carefully renovated to create a warm, comfortable space for patients and staff while protecting the integrity of the building’s history.
We’ve made every effort to leave as small a carbon footprint as possible. We’ve eliminated the use of harmful chemicals, significantly reduced our paper use, and cut back on non-recyclable products.

You’ll find us at 466 Bay Ridge Parkway, on the historic stretch of limestone townhouses locals call Doctor’s Row. We’re a short walk from the R train at 77 Street, with easy access from the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, the Belt Parkway, and the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge.
We proudly care for families from Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Fort Hamilton, Sunset Park, and Bensonhurst, along with patients who travel from across New York and from other states.
